The man saw the desert plant and was exceptionally inspired by where he got such an awesome blessing. Trysdale disclosed to him that it was given to him as a blessing. He inquired as to whether he knew about the species. The man answered, ââ¬Å"Yes. The locals envision the forgets about are coming to and coaxing to you. They call it by this nameVentomarme. Name implies in English, Come and take me. Now in the story imagery turns out to be clear, the desert plant sent wasnââ¬â¢t intended to be a lousy reaction from the lady of the hour. The vast majority regularly represent a prickly desert flora as unpleasant and separating. All through this story it is utilized to represent the brideââ¬â¢s reaction, yet additionally acknowledgment and dismissal. Anticipating that it should represent her tolerating his proposition, the lady of the hour had the desert plant conveyed to the husband to be. He didn't consider it to be that. He accepting her blessing as an image of dismissal. He disparaged the importance of a lousy and prickly desert flora. Trysdale sees himself as a man upon a platform, brimming proudly and certainty. That pride and vanity is the thing that exchanged things around for him. He let his vanity shield him from standing up to his lady of the hour for a superior clarification of the desert plant. At the point when he enlightened his harmless embellishment regarding having the option to communicate in the Spanish language, he did it loaded with certainty. It was a falsehood that he thought heââ¬â¢d pull off. Much to his dismay, it had caused issues down the road for him. Trysdale got the prickly plant and in a split second permitted his pride to dominate. He believed he was unreasonably useful for such a prickly blessing. He shivered at the idea that to other people, before now, the pieces of clothing of his spirit more likely than not seemed grieved and tattered. Vanity and pride? These were the joints in his covering. What's more, how liberated from it is possible that she had consistently been. â⬠Trysdale begins to acknowledge where he turned out badly. He let his pride over standard love and for all intents and purposes lost both, all as a result of a basic untruth. Additionally inside the short story, the glove that Trysdale wears is an utilized as an image. O. Henry composes, ââ¬Å"As he gradually unfastened his gloves, there crossed Trysdales thoughts a quick, scarifying hindsight of the most recent couple of hours. It appeared that in his noses was as yet the fragrance of the blossoms that had been banked in musty masses about the congregation, and in his ears the lowpitched murmur of a thousand very much reproduced voices, the stir of fresh pieces of clothing, and, most tenaciously repeating, the drawling expressions of the pastor permanently restricting her to another. â⬠The gloves represent the sentiment of affection that Trysdale must choose between limited options, yet to gradually relinquish. The gloves give him a feeling of warmth that helps him to remember his past affection. All through this short story, creator O. Henry presented just a couple of characters. Trysdale, a single man who winds up engaging his own errors in attempting to pick up the lady of the hour of his fantasy, is a man who puts himself upon a platform. He is exceptionally prideful and lets his arrogance keep him away from pursuing his lady of the hour. Having a favorable opinion of himself, he held exorbitant pride. At last, he decided to put his pride before his affection and lost both. The Bride in the story is depicted as ââ¬Å"â⬠¦so humble â⬠ââ¬Å"â⬠¦so innocent and adoring, and (he would once have sworn) so true. â⬠as such, she was a definitive woman of that timespan. All through the whole story the lady of the hour stays anonymous, yet additionally O. Henry reliably kept her out of the ââ¬Ëspot lightââ¬â¢. He required her in the story to make the issue, however insufficient to make her a fundamental character. He worked superbly of making her significant, yet didnââ¬â¢t power the peruser to give an excess of consideration to her. ââ¬Å"The Cactusâ⬠is told in a perspective that emphatically keeps the peruser centered in. O. Henry utilized a third individual perspective to show the primary characters musings and sentiments. By utilizing third individual, the peruser can identify with the characters a lot simpler. At the point when the writer expounds on reasonable circumstances, the peruser can relate a lot simpler. In the event that the story had not been written in third individual, the peruser may have discovered the story exhausting in light of the fact that it might not have made them in a split second feel a connection. This story being written in a third individual perspective carries out incredible thing for the story. Past to perusing this story and realizing what was about, I decided to peruse it in light of the fact that my grandma is a major aficionado of the desert plants plant. At the point when I was a little youngster my family and I used to go visit her in Arizona, the home of the prickly plant. For me, it set off an important memory. In the wake of getting into this story, I discovered O. Henryââ¬â¢s word decision extremely engaging. His assertion decision leaves the peruser thinking about what is truly to come straightaway, instead of portending and making it self-evident. If I somehow happened to compose this story as my own, I would give the lady of the hour a bigger part. I would give her a name and permit her to show a greater amount of her sentiments. In general, I feel the story was composed well indeed. Creator O. Henry left me needing to peruse a greater amount of his storyââ¬â¢s, regardless of whether they were about cactiââ¬â¢s full of importance. The Cactus free exposition test Who might have imagined that such a little and prickly desert flora could have so much importance. Itââ¬â¢s not astonishing that O. Henryââ¬â¢s short story, ââ¬Å"The Cactusâ⬠spins around a minuscule desert flora. In gatherings of 5/6 we made a despite everything picture based around our reactions to the principal improvement. A despite everything picture is an emotional show used to catch a second, which communicates contemplations and sentiments about a subject. My still picture resembled this. It was intended to show segregation between gatherings. We did this by having guys in blue overcoats remaining on seats. Also, young ladies coming to up to them urgently to acknowledge an overcoat, a few people who werent acknowledged kicked the bucket. This spoke to the Nazis control over ladies. My gathering decide to do our own in the laundrette. We had a blend of characters in our laundrette. These incorporated an unpleasant little youngster, a well off agent, the laundrette proprietor, an Asian and an elegant woman. We utilized outward appearance and voice to speak to segregation in the gathering. I think this was a successful spontaneous creation since it indicated separation in regular day to day existence now. This permitted tot crowd to interface it in with their regular daily existences. Different gatherings did diverse despite everything pictures. James bunch did an organic product advertise and indicated how individuals responded to somebody before they discovered something out about them and after. This was presumably the best despite everything picture since it makes the crowd do a great deal of reasoning and relating. It gave every one of us how we can resemble Niemoller. Second boost: The pot My underlying considerations: John is feeble willed and found to stick for what is correct Elizabeth is manipulative John was a Wiseman John is a quitter After a gathering conversation we chose the most grounded individual can be the greatest weakling. I think John is a defeatist for not standing up despite the fact that he is solid in the town, We additionally said there is a resilient lady behind each man. Equals among Niemoller and Crucible: Third boosts: We were then given an image. This was of 3men plunking down, of various ages and racial foundations. Instructor in job Mr. Devine entered an instruct in job. This was to give us thoughts regarding building up the workshop further. The instructor in job was about a child escaping to a work camp. In this impromptu creation there were serveral characters. They almost completely had a place with a similar family. Their was the mother, father, sister who was a medical attendant in the emergency clinic and saw horrible things, sibling who was gutsy and little trouble who needed to leave. The instructors job was stayed silent until he entered and removed them during supper. In this pretend heaps of thoughts were appeared and it permitted us to build up every one of the 3 upgrades. The persecuted individuals in the photo, the individuals escaping in the sonnet and curcible. After this we as a whole chose to make a despite everything picture speaking to what we had quite recently observed. .u8c9d7521528fb52fe9e9d19dd9e54bc5 , .u8c9d7521528fb52fe9e9d19dd9e54bc5 .postImageUrl , .u8c9d7521528fb52fe9e9d19dd9e54bc5 .focused content zone { min-tallness: 80px; position: relative; } .u8c9d7521528fb52fe9e9d19dd9e54bc5 , .u8c9d7521528fb52fe9e9d19dd9e54bc5:hover , .u8c9d7521528fb52fe9e9d19dd9e54bc5:visited , .u8c9d7521528fb52fe9e9d19dd9e54bc5:active { border:0!important; } .u8c9d7521528fb52fe9e9d19dd9e54bc5 .clearfix:after { content: ; show: table; clear: both; } .u8c9d7521528fb52fe9e9d19dd9e54bc5 { show: square; progress: foundation shading 250ms; webkit-change: foundation shading 250ms; width: 100%; obscurity: 1; progress: murkiness 250ms; webkit-change: darkness 250ms; foundation shading: #95A5A6; } .u8c9d7521528fb52fe9e9d19dd9e54bc5:active , .u8c9d7521528fb52fe9e9d19dd9e54bc5:hover { haziness: 1; progress: mistiness 250ms; webkit-progress: mistiness 250ms; foundation shading: #2C3E50; } .u8c9d7521528fb52fe9e9d19dd9e54bc5 .focused content region { width: 100%; position: relati ve; } .u8c9d7521528fb52fe9e9d19dd9e54bc5 .ctaText { fringe base: 0 strong #fff; shading: #2980B9; text dimension: 16px; textual style weight: intense; edge: 0; cushioning: 0; content improvement: underline; } .u8c9d7521528fb52fe9e9d19dd9e54bc5 .postTitle { shading: #FFFFFF; text dimension: 16px; text style weight: 600; edge: 0; cushioning: 0; width: 100%; } .u8c9d7521528fb52fe9e9d19dd9e54bc5 .ctaButton { foundation shading: #7F8C8D!important; shading: #2980B9; outskirt: none; outskirt range: 3px; box-shadow: none; text dimension: 14px; textual style weight: striking; line-stature: 26px; moz-fringe span: 3px; content adjust: focus; content adornment: none; content shadow: none; width: 80px; min-stature: 80px; foundation: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/modules/intelly-related-posts/resources/pictures/straightforward arrow.png)no-rehash; position: total; right: 0; top: 0; } .u8c9d7521528fb52fe9e9d19dd9e54bc5:hover .ctaButton { foundation shading: #34495E!important; } .u8c9d752 1528fb52fe9e9d19dd9e54bc5 .focused content { show: table; stature: 80px; cushioning left: 18px; top: 0; } .u8c9d7521528fb52fe9e9d19dd9e54bc5-content { show: table-cell; edge: 0; cushioning: 0; cushioning right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-adjust: center; width: 100%; } .u8c9d7521528fb52fe9e9d19dd9e54bc5:after { content: ; show: square; clear: both; } READ: The Crucible, by Arthur Miller EssayMy bunches despite everything picture resembled this: It was known as the moms bad dream. We utilized levels and outward appearances to show she was disturbed her child was being removed. This additionally assisted with making pressure in the picture. From this picture we made an act of spontaneity despite everything keeping to the mother bad dream thought. In this impromptu creation I played the mother. It began with me sitting toward the edge of the stage crying while at the same time conversing with myself in the mirror. I utilized various tones to communicate the various sentiments a nd contemplations the mother might be encountering. While I did this different individuals from my gathering shaped a despite everything picture. After I had completed my monolog I remained still as they showcased my night female horse behind me. In the still picture we as a whole made a particular signal our character would do more than once. This would show us something the cheacator and express their musings and emotions. My signal resembled this: I pick this motion since I thought it took after the manner in which the mother would have responded and it might have been something she did more than once in view of her sentiments. As another immediate reaction to the instructor in job we chose to do an ad lib which utilized sound to speak to strain. In this we had the sister returning home after she discovered her sibling was dead. We indicated how various individuals from the familys reactions utilizing voice. I utilized quiet to speak to my stunned. Andrew utilized yelling to speak to his distrust. Following this we chose to end our work with a development scene. With no stable we utilized development to speaks to people groups responses of blame and frustration. After they had discovered reality with regards to what had occurred. We had a bus station scene in which I was the young lady who didnt acknowledge what she was doing. I attempted to apologize to every other person and they utilized outward appearances and development to show they were sickened and baffled with me, not needing me around. I think this was successful on the grounds that it made the audicence consider distinctive assecpts of the play. In the event that we had included mood melodies it could have added a 3D impact to the creation yet I think quietness was a successful device. Assessment I think this has been a fruitful workshop wherein I have taken in a great deal about dramatization as well as about regular daily existence. I think the most significant thing I have found out about regular day to day existence is that you ought to consistently go to bat for what you know is correct. I think he most significant thing I have found out about dramatization is the little the seemingly insignificant detail you do can have these greatest impacts. For models the little signals done in the moms bad dream bigly affected the show despite the fact that they were only a small thing. I likewise think a great deal had been found out about articulation in development and voice. I am generally glad for the development scene as I might suspect this has shown me and part and been an effective piece. I one understand that you dont just need to utilize words to pass on emotions and in some cases quietness is ideal. On the off chance that I could return and change anything I would have added to the strain in sound ad lib. I feel that it required progressively stable and less development. This would have helped make it progressively fruitful on the grounds that it would have depicted more emotions and responses. I would have likewise made the piece shorter as it took excessively long. My first reaction in the investigation was preference however after some work and contribution from other I understood how firmly connected partiality and segregation was.

A Faustian Projection for Future Audiences Narration and Allusion in The Invention of Morel - Literature Essay Samples
Commonly referenced in Western Europe and around the world, the story of the Faustian bargainââ¬âin which a remarkable individual trades soul and salvation for vast powerââ¬âhas appeared throughout history in poems, plays, newspapers, and novels describing charactersââ¬â¢ dilemmas. In The Invention of Morel by Adolfo Bioy Casares, the narrator falls in love with a machine-generated image of a woman named Faustine. He claims to be a criminal fugitive who escaped to live on an island, and he makes a bargain to sacrifice his soul to be with his love Faustine forever. Upon further examination of his journal, however, we see he is in fact a coward trying to redeem his previous life and create a new image rather than allegedly sacrificing himself nobly for love. Although he himself may be unaware, the narratorââ¬â¢s journal serves to mask his deeper immoral desire for immortality and power. The first indications of the narratorââ¬â¢s self-seeking motives arise from his previous background. We learn from his journal that he arrived on the island as a means to escape his fugitive status, and perhaps start a new life. He explains, ââ¬Å"I hope to write as a kind of justification for my shadowy life on this earthâ⬠(18). Thus, even before he has the opportunity to die nobly, he intends to use the journal as justification. Rather than feeling ashamed for his crimes, he is fearful what others think of his image and paranoid of getting caught. When he discovers what he thinks are visitors on the island, his first reaction is that theyââ¬â¢re coming for him. He is undoubtedly self-centered, and responds to his past deeds by escaping them. His pursuit of Faustine serves as a distraction from his fear. When he feels like he wants to escape, he says, ââ¬Å"but I am not so worried about the dangers I am facingââ¬âI am most concerned about the mistake I madeââ¬â it can deprive me of the woman foreverâ⬠(23). Just as he fearfully carried himself from his previous life to the island, Faustine provides another pursuit, or means of escaping, psychologically. The narratorââ¬â¢s isolated and psychological state on the island suggests that allegedly sacrificing his soul to be with Faustine is an act of suicide. Like Faus, in the German legend, he is immensely bored with his current state. Not only that, he is hopeless and writes, ââ¬Å"I had nothing to hope forâ⬠(19). Although he believed risking escaping to the island would end his previous troubles, or at least result in death, it is the end of his physical journey. Without being able to move anywhere, he feels trapped emotionally as well, ââ¬Å"but will I ever be allowed to leaveâ⬠(21). The narrator also feels like a victim to the island, and is imprisoned. His paranoia also indicates how tormented he is by being caught. His state of hopelessness and isolation further escalates with time on the island with the images. He writes he feels like a ââ¬Å"dead man in the midst of the livingâ⬠(47). Without the images, there would be no comparison for the narratorââ¬â no glimpse of humanity or sanity. Therefore, he is somewhat aware of his psychological condition, yet with the repeating images, is constantly reminded. He grabs hold to his perception of love for Faustine, since love is a powerful emotion and ultimate distraction. As he is dying, he finally feels like he has ââ¬Å"the reward of a peaceful eternityâ⬠and this peace is what he has been seeking and has ultimately reached for both his body and spirit (124). The narrator also seeks to be with Faustine to win against Morel, thus redeeming his previous image. As mentioned previously, the narrator is aware of his readers and worries how he is perceived. Unlike Morel, he provides a timeline to ââ¬Å"give my readers a way to dateâ⬠(45). He even aspires to go beyond winning Faustine and hopes to eliminate Morel completely. He writes, ââ¬Å"I am obsessed by the hope of removing Morelââ¬â¢s image from the eternal weekâ⬠(121). But why would the narrator want to remove him from the images if it was clear Faustine did not love Morel, as said in the journal? Perhaps it was evident that Faustine did in fact love Morel, but the narrator did not share that with his readers. Alternatively, the narrator perceived that there was no relationship at that time, but Morel was rather a competitor for the future. A similar question can be asked of Morel, the inventor. Did he create his invention for the noble love of science or rather for the i mmortal fame and reputation that would result from it? Although the narrator shares his thoughts in a personal journal, it is unclear whether he is cognizant of his cowardice and selfish motives. In the narratorââ¬â¢s mind, he believes that his bargain does in fact redeem his image as well as grant him immortality and power. Through the narratorââ¬â¢s pursuit, Bioy Casares suggests society overvalues fame and power over death, especially in 1940 when the novel was published. In preparation for World War II, scientists dedicated their soul to building weapons for the war. Although their perceived motives for helping their country and advancing technology were noble, like Morel they were killing people for the sake of scientific progress or even fame. Similarly, as the narrator is transferring his soul to the images, he cries ââ¬Å"but I still love youâ⬠as he remembers his home country Venezuela, ââ¬Å"with its leaders, its troops with rented uniforms and deadly aimâ⬠(122). The narrator suddenly feels regret for betrayi ng his other love, which illustrates his conflicted nature. Just like his self-seeking love for Faustine, his fear of being forgotten overpowers his love, and he was compelled leave his country to save himself. Though as readers we may critique the narrator as being self-seeking, fearful, and deceptive, Bioy Casares forces us to examine ourselves and our surroundings. Furthermore, what others present to the world may be different than their true personality, whether theyââ¬â¢re conscious of it or not. Before World War II, propaganda inspired people to join the war out of patriotism. Furthermore, scientific progress was greatly celebrated and many technologies developed were useful following the war. In some ways, itââ¬â¢s impossible to predict future impact in the present, though one can try. Another question Bioy Casares raises is how much we overvalue fame and power over life as humans. For the narrator, death is impending, so choosing immortality over dying in the near future seems logical. During war, however, many soldiers die for love of their country and perhaps for an honorable image. Thus, is the point of life for some to die an honorable life? Perhaps itââ¬â¢s from past p ain, hopelessness, fear of the present, or from competition, as the narrator experiences. No matter what our inner motives may be itââ¬â¢s possible to mask them and project a more permanent image of ourselves through text, photos, or social media.

Journal Writing in the Elementary Classroom
An effective Journal Writing program doesnt mean you just sit back and relax while your kids write about whatever they want. You can use well-chosen journal topics, classical music, and checklists to make the most of your students daily writing time. In my third grade classroom, students write in journals every day for about 20 minutes. Each day, after read-aloud time, the kids go back to their desks, pull out their journals, and start writing! By writing every day, the students gain fluency while getting a chance to practice important punctuation, spelling, and style skills in context. Most days, I give them a specific topic to write about. On Fridays, the students are so excited because they have free write, which means they get to write about whatever they want! Many teachers let their students write about whatever they want every day. But, in my experience, student writing can tend to get silly with a lack of focus. This way, students stay focused on a particular theme or topic. Journal Writing Tips To start, try this list of my favorite journal writing prompts. Engaging Topics I try to come up with interesting topics that are fun for the kids to write about. You can also try your local teacher supply store for topics or check out a kids books of questions. Just like adults, children are more likely to write in a lively and engaging manner if they are entertained by the topic. Play Music While the students are writing, I play soft classical music. Ive explained to the kids that classical music, especially Mozart, makes you smarter. So, every day, they want to be really quiet so that they can hear the music and get smarter! The music also sets a serious tone for productive, quality writing. Create a Checklist After each student finishes writing, he or she consults a small checklist that is pasted into the inside cover of the journal. The student makes sure that he or she has included all of the important elements for a journal entry. The kids know that, every so often, I will collect the journals and grade them on their latest entry. They dont know when I will collect them so they need to be on their toes. Writing Comments When I collect and grade the journals, I staple one of these small checklists to the corrected page so that the students can see which points they received and which areas need improvement. I also write a short note of comment and encouragement to each student, inside their journals, letting them know that I enjoyed their writing and to keep up the great work. Sharing Work During the last few minutes of Journal time, I ask for volunteers that would like to read their journals out loud to the class. This is a fun sharing time where the other students need to practice their listening skills. Often, they spontaneously start clapping when a classmate has written and shared something really special. As you can see, theres much more to Journal Writing than just setting your students loose with a blank pad of paper. With proper structure and inspiration, children will come to cherish this special writing time as one of their favorite times of the school day. Have fun with it! Edited By: Janelle Cox

Poverty can be described as the state of inadequacy or scarcity of certain amount of material procession and financial resources, (Cocciaet al., 58-165). It is a multisided concept that also includes lack of the socioeconomic, political and emotional elements. There are several types of poverty in the society today, and they tend to affect the way of living for those people afflicted. People affected by poverty in the society today range from temporary situations that are seasonal to abject poverty associated with homeless people and street families. According to the World Bank (Global Monitoring Report), approximately over seven hundred million people lived in poverty, (Sawalhaet al., 183-202). About half of this population lived in sub-Saharan Africa.Itis estimated that half of the world children live in poverty. Some of the liberal approaches from global financial institutions have been blamed for the worsening of both poverty and inequality especially in developing economies. Donââ¬â¢t waste time! Our writers will create an original "Does Poverty Serve as a root cause of Terrorism?" essay for you Create order In many instances, people living in poverty work hard to improve their financial situations and living conditions. Most people resort to indulge in income generating activities to improve their situations, however some resort to get-rich-quick schemes to escape the pangs of poverty. In most cases, the get-rich-quick schemes are not as lucrative as they seem and participants end up being conned by scammers, (Cocciaet al., 58-165). The purpose of this essay, therefore, is to analyze the role of poverty as a cause of terrorism in the world, its effects and some of the remedies that can be put in place to curb the rise of terrorism as a result of poverty. Some of the major causes of poverty in the world today include poor infrastructure, corruption, and embezzlement of public funds by individuals in power, poor leadership structures especially in sub-Saharan Africa, unemployment, illnesses and lack of skills and training. These factors force people to live in conditions that they would have otherwise avoided had the circumstances changed in support their positive ambitions. As a result, brilliant young people faced with lack of opportunity and income sources resort to join terror groups not because they support the cause but so that their lives can improve. Terrorism, on the other hand, can be described as the unlawful perpetration of violence and bullying carried out by sections of people mostly armed militia against innocent civilians, (Sawalhaet al., 183-202). The main aims of terror groups are to orchestrate violent attacks, abduction of civilians and looting/ destruction of property to fulfill political, religious and or ideological goals, (Cocciaet al., 58-165). Poverty has over the years been linked as one of the causes of terrorism in the world today. In most cases, the allure to join terror groups is juiced up by the promise of monetary gains and better living conditions for those who participate. Terrorism has some of the most adverse effects on society in the world today; it is also one of the greatest contributors to the global poverty levels in the world today. Loss of lives is one of the major effects of terrorism. Considering data from terror attacks in the United States alone, hundreds of families are left without their loved ones as a result of terror attacks. Some of this lives lost happen to be the breadwinners of the families, and this reduces the remaining dependents to abject poverty. In light of all this, the following are some of the major contributions of poverty as a cause of terrorism in the world today. Supply of labor is one of the major boosters towards terrorism contributed by poverty, (Sawalhaet al., 183-202). Due to the lack of economic activities to indulge in, the otherwise idle youth rendered so by poverty act as the major labor inputs recruited by the terror cells and organizations. The youth from poor backgrounds are easy targets for recruitment. The growth of terrorism is anchored on the idea of deprivation of the majority to create a sense of better life in participating in terrorism. The promise of remuneration. People living in poverty are always in the constant search and need for finances to better their living standards. As a result, well-funded terror organizations take advantage of the poverty situations to offer monetary rewards to participants from poor backgrounds. In most cases, these people are not able to rescind these offers since they have no better alternatives to do. Consequently, the financial situations of the members and their families are changed for the better while the terror groups also gain more members to join them, (Cocciaet al., 58-165). Poverty in some regions is caused not by mere natural factors but is driven by artificial political ambitions of the ruling class in that society. As a result of poverty engineered by political interests, people are forced into involuntary poverty situations. The side effect of this type of poverty is the growth of resentment among the oppressed and consequent formation of terrorist organizations to fight the political bigwigs and avenger the poor situations that they have been forcedinto. Several terrorist groups all around the world have been formed as a result of political induced poverty to sections of the population. Another major contribution of poverty towards the growth of terrorism is seen through the practice of harboring terrorists in poor residential areas. Refugee camps are some of the most notorious sites where terrorists can hide, recruit and plan terror attacks on a country. For example, the Dadaab refugee camp where Al-Shabaab terrorists were housed in the refugee tents and were able to plan and orchestrate an attack on a shopping mall in Kenya. People living in poverty are in most cases forced to hide and protect terrorists becausepoor residential eras are most often neglected by security forces, (Sawalhaet al., 183-202). Overpopulation and poor informal settlements also make it easier for terrorists to hide in plain sight. The promise of remuneration by the terrorist and neglect by government forces combined with resentment by poor residents provides a great avenue for terrorism activities to thrive. Another major contribution of poverty towards terrorism can be seen through unemployment,(Cocciaet al., 58-165) the major cause of poverty in the world today is the lack of income-generating opportunities for the able population. As a result, most unemployed people especially the youth treat the opportunity to join terror groups as an employment opportunity and a potential source of income to improve their living conditions. A study carried out in the Palestinian population shows that there is a symbiotic relationship between poverty and terrorism in the sense that terror led to poverty situations but at the same time provided an avenue to alleviate the situation through offering financial support to the families of members that joined them. As much as poverty serves as one of the causes of terrorism in the world today, several remedies to help curb the growth of terrorism as a result of poverty are available, (Sawalhaet al., 183-202). The first step towards remedying the situation is the investment in education sector. Most families in the poor sections of the world are not able to access funds to pay for tuition fees. However, through government intervention and subsidizing of educational cost, children from poor backgrounds will be able to access education. As a result, more attention will be given to education as an avenue towards getting out of poverty as opposed to terrorism. Access to education will also be able to enlighten people to learn the effects of terrorism on the society at large. Equal distribution of resources is another remedy that can be applied to reduce poverty levels, promote a sense of belonging and reduce the contribution of poverty towards the growth of terrorism. Public resources when fairly distributed result in the creation of opportunities for the people living in poverty. A chance to access basic amenities will change the perspective of the poor towards leadership and will motivate them towards the building the nation. In conclusion, therefore, poverty is one of the major contributors toward the growth and spread of terrorism in the world today. However, several remedies can be put in place to reduce the contribution of poverty towards terrorism. The people living in poverty are also human and can have their ideologies changed to a more positive approach, (Cocciaet al., 58-165). Therefore, the governments of the world should put in more efforts towards motivating the poor through education subsidies, employment opportunities and provision of aid to hard-hit areas.
